Hi Everyone - Governor Ned Lamont here. When I took office, Connecticut was at a crossroads. We’d been through years of deficits and doubt. But I believed — and still believe — that this small state can do big things when we work together. And that’s exactly what we’ve done.
Together we've made real progress, but we need to work together to build on that progress. Too many families are feeling squeezed by the Trump Administration - with rising healthcare, childcare, housing, and energy costs. We need a state government that fights back.
That’s why my agenda tackles costs head-on, with a focus on affordability and opportunity at every stage:
Lower Healthcare Costs: It's time for an affordable, reliable insurance plan when Washington refuses to act
Reduce Energy Costs: Double down on energy efficiency programs and clean energy sources
Affordable Childcare: Families deserve childcare they can count on that doesn't break the bank
Housing people can actually afford: People are paying too much, and for many homeownership is out of reach. Let’s ensure young people can stay in Connecticut, seniors can remain in their homes, and every community can grow responsibly.
Standing up to Trump: We will not back down from the fight of our lifetimes, protecting our neighbors, rights, and freedoms.
Connecticut has come a long way, but there’s so much more we can do to keep lowering costs and expanding opportunity. A state where you can afford rent on your first apartment, save for your first home, raise your kids with confidence, and keep more of what you earn. That’s the future we’re building.
I love this state, and I believe in what we can accomplish when we work together. This is Connecticut — innovative, inclusive, and stronger than ever. Let’s keep going. I hope you’ll be part of the next chapter.
